Room 711

On this date, Rotarians, Bill Villont, Stu and Polly Smith and Ray Del Adel attended the annual meeting of the Room 711 Club at Rotary International Headquarters in Evanston, Illinois. The meeting began at 11:00 AM and was attended by all but two members who were snowed in, in Indiana. It was a great experience for Rotarian Villont, learning a lot about the archives of room 711. This is a great organization and a vital part of preserving the history of our founder, Paul Harris. Rory Nimtz was the scholarship recipient from the Belvidere Bright Horizons Rotary Club at a ceremony held at the Performing Arts Center located at the Belvidere High School. Rory is a high school senior planning on a business carreer. He was awarded a $500.00 scholarship during the ceremony presented by President Bill Villont. All of the Bright Horizon Rotarians congratulates Rory in his future at college. We look forward to having Rory visit the club sometime in the future.
